I create artist’s books that intrigue and entertain using printmaking (collagraphy, wood engraving, Letterpress and Lino cuts) combined with upcycled or vintage materials (packaging, maps and nautical charts).
Designing each book as a whole, the structure and content are always developed together. I like to adapt structures to make sculptural, experiential books.
My work focuses especially on how time spent by water nurtures happiness, exploring our relationships with “blue spaces”; rivers, lakes, the sea, ice. Our impact on the environment and celebrating Scotland’s unique colours and light inspire my pieces.
