The focus of my practice is the translation of light and shadow within spaces possessing a cinematic quality into textured mark making. My work is often process-led, inviting a controlled restriction of information by removing detail and thereby abstracting a space that would usually be regarded as ordinary or routine. Materials are used as a tool for creating visual noise, where quieter moments exist within subtle changes in texture.
