15 x 20cm (framed)£175 unframed, £250 framedThe two miniature landscapes selected for the VAS Reverb exhibition are part of a group of paintings, currently numbering more than 120, which I have been making since April 2020. Working from my own photographs I am trying to trap some of the sensation of light and distance experienced in each landscape view onto the very small space I have limited myself to for each painting.I completed a Fine Art Degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
After my degree, I worked in the Sculpture department, National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside Conservation Centre.
Moving to Edinburgh I started work with a private company as a Sculpture Conservator remaining there for eighteen years.
I am now a Freelance Sculpture Conservator working for National Galleries Scotland and Edinburgh Traditional Stone Repairs among others.
I have continued to paint in oils and watercolour.
In 2021 I was awarded the Scottish Arts Club Prize at the RSA Annual exhibition.
In 2021 I was awarded the RSW Watermark award at the RSW Annual exhibition.
