Ruaridh Litster-Campbell is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Argyll, Scotland. Working in oils and acrylics as well as ceramics, metalwork and jewellery design. Ruaridh creates a playful yet brooding body of work with a coherent style throughout. Showing an illustrative base, Ruaridh’s paintings maintain a naivety in style and execution as well as a strong reliance on line. The canvas is heavily worked with a variety of techniques to celebrate the painting’s texture. Subject matter varies from figurative paintings to dreamscapes and interpretations of fleeting thoughts. The work explores ideas of perception and reverence.
