For this project the glass workshop used the Japanese Kirigami technique. Kirigami is a variation of Origami in which the paper is cut after being folded. This allowed the artists to create a pattern that could be followed with their chosen glass colours. The glass pieces have gone through different kiln-formation processes to create the bowl shapes and then polished to its final state.
James Carillo is a man that loves stories and the news. For his work he likes to use yellows, greens and blues. He has been part of the Glass and the Pottery workshops for many years and his work is of a high standard.
