For this project the glass workshop used the Japanese Kirigami technique. Kirigami is a variation of Origami in which the paper is cut after being folded. This allowed the artists to create a pattern that could be followed with their chosen glass colours. The glass pieces have gone through different kiln-formation processes to create the bowl shapes and then polished to its final state.
Joseph Gibney drawings have a particular cubist style. He has a liking for subjects referring to the RAF, Scottish castles and military paraphernalia.
