For this project the glass workshop used the Japanese Kirigami technique. Kirigami is a variation of Origami in which the paper is cut after being folded. This allowed the artists to create a pattern that could be followed with their chosen glass colours. The glass pieces have gone through different kiln-formation processes to create the bowl shapes and then polished to its final state.
Aadila Anwar is part of the deaf Community; she likes the way in which glass shines and always has a clear idea of which colour combination she is going to use for all her projects. Red being a must.
