(In)visible Cities is a celebration of hidden glimpses of the urban environments we inhabit, of being present in the moment and of finding beauty within the ordinary. It takes its title from Italo Calvino’s novel Invisible Cities and is informed by the work of Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa.
Illumination is a series of work exploring the simple geometry and inherent beauty of the circle.
I view mosaic as an erratically gridded field of articulate fragments and am interested in how our perception of a material, or colour, can appear to alter when viewed in proximity to another.
