I’m interested in the dynamic flow and movement of things in relation to each other (sea and wind, buildings and people, walking and landscape), how these connect to social history, and how to think about this through drawing. I seek out flows and forms that can be investigated through physical experience, conversation, observation and sketchbook drawing, and developed into larger scale drawings or etchings.
Rachel studied at Leeds College of Art and Winchester School of Art before moving to Glasgow where she now lives and works. She’s undertaken artist residencies in Canada, Australia, Scotland and Cornwall and her work has been acquired by collections including The British Museum and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY.
