My sculptural training is deeply rooted in my work while observing highest level of ceramic craftsmanship. I employ hand-building techniques, slip-casting works or multiples for installation. I have over 30 years exhibiting sculpture, undertaking residencies and tutoring. My work is intended to engage the viewer - A focal point to encourage contemplation through well crafted, sensual and tactile forms. My ceramics and wall reliefs are deliberately abstract in nature referencing objects and ideas that inform the work. I strive to balance recognisable imagery suggesting mood or themes. It’s important to allow viewers to ‘read’ and relate to ideas.
