I am a painter, working with a non-figurative language to explore themes from the contemporary urban landscape. My work is inspired by modernist urban architecture, with recent research focussed on the fabric, features and surfaces of post-war Brutalist buildings. I work in a variety of media, but primarily oil on linen, canvas or paper.
I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2015, and am currently working from my studio at the Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline, Fife. I am a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland. As a starting point for my work, I am inspired by architecture and the contemporary urban environment.
