Science and art are not two distinct disciplines, rather they are different methods of understanding the world and expressing research. Conservation awareness is at one of the intersection of these two disciplines converging research and expression. Art’s autonomous exploration of scientist’s knowledge can create aesthetic or raw sensory experiences to create awareness and educate wider audiences. A fine art background offers a new perspective towards wildlife conservation, photography and filmmaking.
My work aligns with the environmental eco-art movement by looking into art practices that addresses environmental issues; from the aesthetics to the ethical.
Following my BA Photography at Edinburgh University, I am studying MA Wildlife Documentary Production at Salford University. My interests in photography and art often interlink with my other interests such as biodiversity, conservation and climate change.
