Employing collage, print, wordplay, and pattern, Rowan’s work is characterised by the development of imagined visual space. This seeks to explore themes of environmental change, mental health and otherness. Landscape, and in particular, the mountain, provide a reference through which to examine these.
Rowan Paton is an award winning painter, living and working in Edinburgh. She has exhibited internationally with an upcoming solo show at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh, 2022.
