My work explores the role of memory in connecting us to the places, people and experiences that define who we are. Our perspective in any situation effects how we recall it and in this body of work I play with ideas of perception and perspective. I have used the purity of white porcelain to enhance the play of light and shade within the pieces, and a circular motif simultaneously represents everything and nothing. The cut holes create a range of unexpected shapes, shadows and connections which conspire to confuse the eye as the viewer moves around the work.
