Journeys II
Moving Image
3min52s
Music by Chi John-Kamen

Journeys II is an audiovisual work showing photographic imagery of landscapes and places re-evaluated through colour sorting algorithms. The colours of the landscape move and shift as improvised piano music is played in the background. Gradients of colour distort the original composition, revealing more basic colour-fields and gradients underlying the image. The work was made with photographic contributions from friends and family during lock-down, and aimed to reveal and revalue the ranges of colours within landscape through a reorganised way of seeing.
