My work has its basis in architectural model making techniques and draws from the forms of the built environment, focusing on the relationship between invented new structures and the built history of the existing city. The materials that I work with include paper, card and wood. I use stop motion animation to introduce movement into some of these pieces. More recently I have become interested in trying other ways of creating larger surfaces and structures in my work, using box-making and furniture making techniques.
Having studied Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art, I have worked as an artist and animator in Edinburgh since 2014. My animations and works in paper and wood have been shown in Scotland as well as in exhibitions in Europe and North America.
