Emma Jo Webster uses a colourist approach to her painterly handwoven tapestries – renowned for her colourful abstract weavings. She exhibits nationally and internationally and is well known in her field. "I love colour - I love the way paints bloom and pool and then the challenge of weaving it!
Emma Jo is a professional tapestry weaver she graduated from Edinburgh College of Arts Tapestry department, following which she set up her own studio in Glasgow where she continues to practise tapestry weaving. Having previously worked for West Dean Tapestry Studio she then joined the weaving team at the Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.
